A delegation of parties close to the PYD visits Damascus

ARK News: A Kurdish Syrian source, on Sunday, December 29, 2019, confirmed that a delegation of Syrian Kurdish parties close to the Democratic Union Party (PYD) is visiting Damascus, at the invitation of Major General Ali Mamlouk, head of the regime's National Security Office.

The source, who preferred not to be identified, told BasNews: “The parties Syrian Democratic Council of Syria (parties close to the PYD), and the Democratic Alliance parties that includes the Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party in Syria, the Kurdish Democratic Unity Party, and other parties, have received an invitation from Major General Ali Mamlouk, head of the Office of National security to visit Damascus”.

The source added, "the invitation of these parties to Damascus is aimed at dialogue to resolve the Kurdish issue in the country”.

The source categorically denied that the opposition Kurdish National Council parties were invited to Damascus for dialogue.

The source pointed out that "the delegation of the Kurdish parties is preparing to visit Damascus and meet with regime’s officials of the regime during the next 48 hours."
