ARK News: The leader of " Syrian Democratic Forces" (SDF), Mazloum Kobani, called for stopping the "destructive war" and protecting civilians in Idlib governorate, calling for a gathering of all "national forces" in the region under one umbrella, in the first official comment on the escalation events in Idlib.

"What is happening in Idlib is part of Erdogan's project to destroy the region," Abdi said in tweets, via his Twitter account on Friday, December 27. We must put an end to the traffickers with the blood and homes of the Syrians, stop this devastating war and build an umbrella that gathers all the national forces that protect citizens and preserve their dignity. ”

The military leader added, "Our doors are open to our people in Idlib, and they can coordinate with the (Idlib military forces) under the banner of the Syrian Democratic Forces to go to our areas."

Abdi did not directly hold the Syrian regime forces and Russia the responsibility for the escalation in the region, holding the Turkish side the responsibility.

Idlib's eastern and southern countryside has been subjected to a massive escalation campaign from the regime and Russia since 19 of this month, through a ground military campaign that resulted in the control of dozens of villages and points, as well as an air escalation from warplanes on the city of Maarat al-Numan and its surroundings.
Turkey has 12 observation points in Idlib, under the "de-escalation" agreement with Russia, signed in Sochi in September 2018.

The US President, Donald Trump, had warned both Russia and the Syrian regime and Iran against killing thousands of civilians in Idlib, northern Syria, via tweets he published on Thursday in "Twitter", in which he said that the countries of "Russia, Syria and Iran are killing or going to kill thousands of innocent civilians" in Idlib Governorate, do not do that! ”

Trump added that Turkey was "working hard to stop this massacre," referring to its role as a guarantor of the "de-escalation" agreement in Idlib signed with Russia.
