Turkey: Communicating Gulf countries with the leader of the SDF will not remain unanswered

ARK News: Turkey will stand against any movement towards its borders if it happens due to U.S. or Russian relations with the Syrian Democratic Forces the SDF, said Turkey’s presidential spokesman on Tuesday.

"We see that, some countries, some Gulf countries hold various meetings with Farhad Abdi Shahin, code-named Mazloum Kobani, one of the SDF leaders, seeking an opportunity to use him against Turkey, we are noting this," Kalin stressed.

Turkey launched the so-called Operation Peace Spring on Oct. 9 to eliminate the SDF from northern Syria east of the Euphrates River to secure Turkey’s borders, aid in the safe return of Syrian refugees, and ensure Syria’s territorial integrity according to his claims.

Since then, Turkey reached agreements with both the U.S. and Russia to force the SDF to withdraw from the planned free zone along Turkey’s borders.

The U.S. has worked with the SDF in the name of fighting Da’esh terrorists, ignoring Turkish objections that using a group to fight another makes no sense.

Turkey was subjected last October to widespread Arab and international condemnation of launching a military operation against Syrian Kurdistan under the pretext of fighting the SDF, and this process was suspended after the Russian-Turkish agreement to withdraw SDF from the border.
