ARK News: The suffering of the displaced people of the Kurdish region of Afrin enters its second year in the Aleppo countryside (Al-Shahba) camps, where they lack the most basic elements of life.

According to the ARK Media Foundation's monitoring of the situation of the Kurds displaced in the Shahba areas, the sources confirm that the authorities represented by the management of the PYD continue to prevent the displaced from leaving the camps, and go either to the Kurdish neighborhoods of Aleppo, such as Sheikh Maqsoud and al-Ashrafiya, or return to Afrin and its villages .
According to the sources: The Kurds displaced lack the most basic necessities of decent living, such as providing daily, health, and even social necessities.

On the other hand, the armed factions and their families are in blessing in the homes and properties of the Kurds in Afrin, since the military operation and the Arab families have seized the properties of the Kurds, from homes, fields, commercial stores, agricultural lands, cars, tractors and so on.

As a result of the Turkish military operation accompanied by armed factions, which began on January 21, 2018 in the region, hundreds of thousands of indigenous Kurds were displaced outside Afrin region, where the PYD officials installed the camp for them in the countryside of Aleppo, according to unofficial sources: Two thirds of the people of the area are now outside the region, where the number of the people of Afrin was estimated to be about one million people. Since then, the armed militias and Arab families from different regions have been resettled in place of the Kurds displaced.
