ARK News: The European Football Union fined the Turkish Football Association for the Turkish national team’s military salute in celebration of goals they scored during the UEFA 2020 qualifiers.

In a statement of it, the European Football Board of Directors said that the Turkish Football Association was fined 50,000 euros [$ 55369] as a comprehensive punishment, and also includes the public unrest committed by the fans during the qualifying match for the European Football 2020 championship between Turkey and France on October 14, 2019.

The UEFA ethics and discipline watchdog stated that many Turkish players were reprimanded for appearances of a non-sporting nature during matches against France and Albania, which are intended to salute the military.

The Turkish national team players saluted the Turkish army during the operation launched by Turkey under the so-called name "Spring of Peace" in Syrian Kurdistan.
