ARK News: representatives of the two Human Rights Organizations in Afrin and the Human Rights Organization in Syria - MAF, on Saturday 14 December 2019, met with the representative of the International Commission of Inquiry on Syria at the United Nations in Mannheim, Germany. Where the representatives of the two organizations touched on the violations against the Kurdish regions, Afrin, Sari Kaniye, and Gire Spi, in Syrian Kurdistan by Turkey and its armed factions.

In a joint statement of the two organizations, it says: A representative of the Human Rights Organization in Afrin, Lam' an Khalil, and a representative of the Human Rights Organization in Syria - MAF Hafiz Abdul Rahman met with the United Nations representative from the International Commission of Inquiry on Syria. The statement continued: The representative of each organization reported on cases: Murder, enforced disappearance, detention, torture leading to murder, kidnapping for ransom, looting, extortion, property confiscation, stealing antiquities, cutting olive trees and burning farms and forests in order to displace the remaining indigenous people, and implement their project aimed at bringing about a comprehensive demographic change in the region by housing tens of thousands of Turkmen and Arab families who were recruited from previous Turkish deals with the Russian mediator at the time.

The joint statement added: The phenomenon of coercion of non-Muslims from the Yezidis and Christians to convert to Islam was also discussed, spreading strict religious ideas through educational curricula similar to those imposed by ISIS in the areas of their control, and practicing all forms of harassment of the indigenous population through the imposition of patterns from behavior far from the heritage of the region reaching to interference with clothing forms.
