ARK News: A Syrian Kurdish source, on Saturday, confirmed that the Syrian regime is still refusing the entry of the population of Afrin region to the city of Aleppo who was fleeing due to the war, in coordination with the Democratic Union Party (PYD).

The source told (BasNews) saying: "The Syrian regime refuses to head the sons of Afrin who are in the PYD camps in Al-Shahba areas to the city of Aleppo and live in it despite they own the property and real estate in it."

The source pointed out that “tens of thousands of Afrin people are suffering catastrophic conditions in random camps in Al-Shahba areas in Aleppo countryside, amid the complete absence of humanitarian aid by any international organizations.”

The source also added, “these IDPs whom the PYD brought to the camps in Tal Rifaat, Fafin, Ahras, and its countryside, keep them hostages and human shields to use them as a bargaining chip with Turkey in the future on the one hand, and to recruit their children on the other hand.”

The source pointed out that "the struggle of the Turkish forces and their militias with the PKK forces and its military wing in Syria, in addition to the struggle of Iranian militias and regime forces with the armed Syrian opposition militias in northern Syria, which led to the displacement of millions of Kurdish and Arab civilians."

The source confirmed that "the Turkish army and its militias, in return, have resettled hundreds of thousands of displaced people from Damascus, Homs, and Idlib in the city of Afrin in order to bring about a demographic change in the region."

The camps, which established by the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in the areas of its control in Tel Rifaat, Fafin and other towns in the countryside of Aleppo, are home to tens of thousands of Afrin displaced.

It is noteworthy that Turkey and the armed militias loyal to it were able to control Afrin on March 18 of last year after battles with the YPG militants of the PYD.
