The third anniversary of the departure of Salah Younis, member of the Area Committee of the PDK-S
ARK News: Today 5/12/2019 marks the third anniversary of the martyrdom of struggler Salah Mohamed Saeed Younis (Bavê Kovan).
A brief summary of the life of the martyr Salah Younis from the PYD detention centers to the hospitals in Erbil in the Kurdistan Region:
Salah Mohammed Saeed Younis was born in Tal Habash village in 1968 in the city of Amouda in Syrian Kurdistan. He is married and father of five children (four sons and one daughter).
He joined the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria on 1987 and joined the training of political cadres in the Kurdistan Region on 2012/2013 and he was one of the founders of the Barzani Foundation for Science and Knowledge, then he became a member of the Area Committee, and he was arrested by the Syrian regime security agencies a five times and the sixth time was by supporters of the PYD.
He was arrested in Fayhaa Branch on 13/7/2005 and Political Security on charges of spreading false news that would undermine the prestige of the state. He was released after a judicial year.
He was arrested by the Military Security on 28/6/2008 in the Palestine Branch on charges of distributing Kurdish publications. He was released on 21/12/2009.
He was arrested by the Police Leadership of Hasaka province on charges of belonging to a political association and inciting sectarian strife.
On 15/9/2010 he was arrested by the State Security on charges of participating in the riots in protest against the decision of the Authority, as well as arrested by the Criminal Security until he was released on 20/2/2011.
Finally, Salah Younis was arrested by PYD gunmen on 14/6/2016 and remained in prison for three months on charges of smuggling young men and attach them to the Peshmerga ranks, and he was released on bail of renting his house after he suffered blindness in one eye in PYD prisons, then he traveled to the Kurdistan Region to receive treatment in a hospital in Erbil(Rizgari Hospital) after a brain block injury in PYD prisons.
A member of the Area Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria Salah Younis died in the Kurdistan Region on 5. 12. 2016.
