President Barzani receives a delegation from the Kurdish National Council

ARK News: President Masoud Barzani received, on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, a delegation from the Kurdish National Council in Syria in Salahuddin in Kurdistan Region.

The meeting dealt with the latest political developments, and the field in Syrian Kurdistan and the region in general, as the two sides discussed international positions and the role of some of the concerned states in Syrian Kurdistan and Syria in general and topics and issues of common concern.

Both sides expressed their dissatisfaction with the attempts of demographic change underway by the armed factions of Turkey in Syrian Kurdistan and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of citizens from their areas as a result of the Turkish military operation and the tragedies suffered by the people of the region.

The delegation was headed by Saud Al-Mulla, Chairman of the Council, and members of the Presidency: Mohammed Ismail, Suleiman Oso, Namat Daoud, Faisal Youssef, along with with Ibrahim Biro, member of the Foreign Relations Committee, and a member of the Syrian negotiating body.

The meeting comes in conjunction with the Turkish military operation, the Russian role and its expansion in Syrian Kurdistan and the rapid developments in the region, in addition to the announcement of the "SDF" to hand over three cities and towns in Syrian Kurdistan to Russian forces.

It is noteworthy that the delegation of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, yesterday, met with the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, where they discussed topics with mutual interest.
