ARK News: Presidency of the Kurdish National Council: Both President Masoud Barzani and Nechirvan Barzani expressed their support for the cause of the Kurdish people in Syria
Statement

After the conclusion of the meetings held by the Presidency of the Kurdish National Council in Erbil, which also included the official of the Council's external relations office and the representative of the Council in the negotiating body and the vice president of the coalition for the Council, on the second and third of December 2019, His Excellency President Masoud Barzani and the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, received the Presidency delegation and listened to an explanation of the Council's vision regarding the latest updates and developments, in particular, the suffering of our people following the Turkish attack and the mass exodus and grave violations committed by some armed factions in Sari Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) and Gire Spi (Tal Abyad) and the priority of working to stop these violations and make efforts to return the displaced safely to their homes and reject any demographic change that have done in the area, the delegation also reviewed the political and diplomatic activity of the council through the Constitutional Committee and communication with the influential countries, in addition to the positive interaction with the calls for unity of the Kurdish position at this delicate stage.

Both Presidents have expressed their continued support for the cause of the Kurdish people in Syria and their support in all international meetings and forums and seeking to alleviate the suffering of our people, and their standing beside understanding and brotherhood among all the components of the people of the region and the endeavor in providing the requirements for building the unity of the Kurdish position and class, they also stressed the importance of pushing the political process to find a final peaceful solution to the crisis in Syria and in line with the aspirations of all Syrians.

The Council’s delegation included members of the Presidency as well as the representative of the Council in the negotiating body.
