The political report of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria for the month of November 2019
ARK News: Evidence of the political situation indicates new developments on the road to a political solution to the Syrian crisis, where international efforts and endeavors continue on various tracks, the mini-constitutional committee in Geneva concerning the drafting of a new constitution for the future Syria will be functioning under the auspices of the United Nations and according to the circumstances and requirements of the stage, and in proportion to Syria's future perception, if this committee encounters obstructions or obstacles to its work due to its failure to reach an agreed agenda, it will remain temporary, and work will be done in this field in order to accomplish it, or these obstacles may justify some international parties to put forward drafts for discussion or approval for the future Syria.
Thus, the concluded agreements between the concerned parties with what is (America, Russia, Turkey) under implementation, whether relating to the status of Idlib or the Kurdish areas, especially east of the Euphrates River, where the work to stop the fighting and the reduction of the increasing Turkish intervention, accordingly, work is underway to make arrangements for various Syrian regions, including the affected areas, Sari Kaniye and Gire Spi (Ras al-Ain and Tal Abyad), despite sporadic fighting here and there, it seems that work is proceeding according to the intersections between the two agreements (US-Turkish and Russian-Turkish), as evidenced by the presence of the forces of the three parties "American, Russian and Turkish" along the Syrian border with Turkey, which means that the three sides are not different on this situation, but there seem to be clear understandings derived from this the Astana-Sochi Alliance, and with it America as the representative of the International Alliance, accordingly, there are features of new orientations among those concerned with Syria, including what should be mutual recognition between the control of Russia and Iran on Syria, the American controlling of the east of the Euphrates River, and the control of Turkey on the north Syrian, or convening a conference of the mentioned countries, the Arab League and other countries from the mini-group supporting Syria, in order to discuss and approve what should be done towards the establishment of what contributes to achieve a political solution that satisfies the concerned parties and the components of Syrian society.
On the other hand, there is a belief that goes further, that the crises of the whole region (Yemen, Libya, and currently the Iraqi, Lebanese and Iranian) are overlapped and intertwined, but their implications are complementary, And that the last three new cases have direct repercussions on the Syrian situation, as they are a reliable and direct all of the Syrian regime, the evidence is its economic impact and its definite role in the massive depreciation of the Syrian pound against the US dollar and the general foreign currency, thus, the decline of the monetary value of these countries also against European and American currencies, which means that the crises are getting more severe in those countries, and have an effective impact in the Syrian crisis directly negative or positive.
As for Turkey, it is still exercising its dual role between Russia and America, its relationship with Russia is getting stronger, and has established new trade relations with China and some other countries, Erdogan's recent visit to the United States has increased the volume of trade to about 100 billion dollars, this has reinforced its role again, after achieving what it aspired to invade the Kurdish areas and support the affiliated Syrian militia to practice of killing, wounding and destruction in Sari Kaniye and Giri Spi and between them, as well as the displacement and migration of thousands of safe populations and the practice of flagrant violations of looting The looting and theft of houses and shops, as happened in Afrin and its towns and villages, which raises surprise at the international positions towards Turkey and its unfair practices through the invasion and violation of the sovereignty of neighboring Syria.
As for Iran, it has burdened by international pressure and economic sanctions and it is making serious decisions against the international community, most notably is raising the level of uranium enrichment to a higher level, and America does not see such decisions in this regard as a surprise to them, but sees them as appropriate for its behavior and dangerous trends, unlike some European countries, including France, it is necessary to meet with Tehran to reverse its decisions in this regard. Iran believes that the European side did not protect the nuclear agreement, all this are amid the escalation of popular mass protests in Iran to include nearly 150 Iranian cities and towns, and to cover all regions of Iran where they share most of the components and affiliations of national and religious in addition to various sectors and social classes of youth and women, especially the poor classes, which suffer injustice and deprivation despite the oppression and excessive abuse that the authorities practice it against protesters and demonstrators to the extent that they use live bullets and killings on the roads and in the center of cities and towns. It is noteworthy that the Arabs, Kurds, Turks, Azeris, Persians, and Baluchs have come out in unified demonstrations for the first time since 1979 against the Iranian regime, which means that Iran is moving towards no way to the abyss.
As for Iraq, the situation is worsening in it, is also due to mass protests demanding the resignation of the government and hold the corrupt, abusive and climbers on the shoulders of the masses of the people, but the accountability of the first row of the entire political class, and the formation of a new government that meets those demands of the masses and provide them with decent factors of life to ensure jobs and achieve Basic services of water, electricity, etc., it is worth mentioning that the government of Mr. Adel Abdul Mahdi is a newcomer and its program included the fight against financial and administrative corruption and the pursuit of sustainable economic development, and to resolve controversial issues between the blocs and groups and political parties, and it has positively dealt with the Kurdistan Region and sought to address controversial issues with it, however, these protests demand the resignation of the government of Mr. Abdul Mahdi, which led him to his intention to resign his government in order to avoid the risk of chaos threatening the security and safety of the country, as well as at the desire of those angry and right to address their social and political conditions and end their suffering.
As for the Kurdistan Region, it is concerned with the situation of Iraq, which requires efforts and endeavors in Baghdad to address the situation by responding to the protesting masses and their legitimate demands without prejudice to the basic aspects of the state and its constitutional institutions and not to be at the expense of the constitution or bypassing it, on the other hand, the leadership of the region expressed sympathy with the Prime Minister, Mr. Adel Abdul Mahdi, and commended his efforts and good endeavors in the service of Iraq and his concern for the unity of Iraq and progress and prosperity, which requires the necessity of the continuation of his government in the performance of its tasks with the possibility of making some necessary amendments to it, in another context, it seems that the Kurdistan Region has become the focus of attention of the international community, especially the countries that have an active role in the region and its crises, especially Russia and America, this was reflected in the continued visits of its leaders to the region, most recently the visit of US Vice President (Mike Pence), which is characterized by the importance of his role in American policy, especially since the visit was confined to the region directly and was not through Baghdad as it is followed, which means its meaning and implications.
As for Syrian Kurdistan, the suffering of the displaced people of our people in Sari Kaniye and Gire Spi continues to suffer from the misery and poverty of the two cities and their areas, through the Turkish military campaigns and their infamous factions, in addition, the resultant injustice and violations of human values, add to the tragedy of Afrin, which afflicts more tragedies on our safe and peaceful people, which requires working diligently and concerted efforts to end the suffering of this people, whether in Afrin or in Gire Spi and Sari Kaniye and all its regions.
In another context, it takes the recent calls on the unity of the Kurdish rank and the unity of its political position, especially between the Kurdish National Council and the Democratic Union Party the (PYD), it takes its interest in both parties in the hope of paving the way to clear the atmosphere and provide confidence among all through the release of detainees and the opening of offices and headquarters of the Council Parties, and to stop obstructing its political and cultural activities, etc., and accept the principle of real partnership in the political decision and work together at various levels (political, administrative and military).
But it's noticeable that BDD works alone on more than one track, on the one hand, it seeks to join the Geneva diplomatic activities (the Constitutional Commission) as an opposition party, it is also doing its utmost to dialogue with the Syrian regime to reach a comprehensive agreement (political, administrative, even military), and spare no effort to continue working with the US side and looking forward to advancing relations to advanced levels.
As for our party (the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria), it stresses that its position is part of the political position of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, which is clearly expressed its response to serious calls for the unity of the Kurdish rank and the unity of its political position, and did not hesitate to do so previously, and will strive tirelessly for Provide the necessary factors to achieve this.
Finally, one must take into account the recent statements made by the President of the Syrian regime about the Kurds and their number in Syria, and that the percentage of Arabs in the areas they claim to be their areas is not less than seventy percent of the total population of those areas and that the remaining 30 percent is for the rest of the components, in other words, there are no Kurdish-majority areas in Syria, the obvious question is why demographic change has been practiced in the regions of the Island. Why were hundreds of thousands of residents of Aleppo and Raqqa governorates brought in with their civil records and housing in typical villages along the border of Hasaka province with Turkey? Wasn't it changing the demographic nature? Is not this prejudice beyond the prejudice against our Kurdish people and its historical presence on his father's father seriously? And that these areas are the Kurdish majority undisputed.
