Barzani receives renowned Turkish intellectual Beşikci and describes him as "great friend of the Kurdish people"
ARK News: Kurdish prominent leader and president of the ruling Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Masoud Barzani, on Saturday received Ismail Beşikci, a well-known Turkish sociologist and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, Barzani commended Beşikci for his support to the Kurds and their cause, thanked his stances on the legitimate rights of the Kurdish people, praising his products and activities in support of the demands and rights of the people of Kurdistan, describing him as "the great friend of the Kurdish people", wishing him safety and long life, according to a press release by Barzani Headquarter.
They also exchanged views on the recent political developments in the region. Beşikci said the Kurdish political leadership should deal with the current situation carefully.
Discussing the projects of Beşikci Institute in the Kurdistan Region was also on the agenda of the meeting.
