ARK News: A Human Rights Organization working to document violations in the Kurdish region of Afrin reported on its main page of Facebook today 26/11/2019 that armed militias belonging to al-Hamzat faction kidnapped a number of Kurdish citizens from the Kurdish region of Afrin for fabricated charges to force them to pay the ransom.

The Human Rights Organization in Afrin said that militias belong to al-Hamzat faction abducted on 23.11.2019, a number of Kurdish citizens, while on their way to the city of Afrin near the checkpoint at the entrance of the village of Turinde of Afrin city center.

The Organization pointed out that they were taken to an unknown destination without knowing their fate so far, thus, the organization was able to identify the names of some of them:

1 - Mustafa Ibish Aswad 55 years old
2 - Ahmed Nori Abdo 50 years old.

The Organization added that elements at the checkpoint seized a van belonging to Ahmed Nori Abdo.

The Organization mentioned that and in the context of violations against Kurdish citizens, that armed militias belonging to the al-Hamzat faction during the past week and successive periods to cut more than 70 olive trees owned by Hamida from the village of Kimar of Sherawa area and keep the trees on one branch under the pretext of trees trimming in order to trade timber.

It is worth mentioning that since the invasion of the Turkish army and the armed factions and groups Afrin region, kidnappings campaigns against Kurdish civilians continue with false pretexts, in addition to cutting down olive and forest trees for selling firewood.
