Nov 22 2019

ARK News: The United States has rejected Turkish threats to resume an attack on northeast Syria. It urged Ankara to fulfill its obligations under the Turkish-US agreement on October 17, including halting offensive operations in northeastern Syria.

The Newsweek magazine quoted an unnamed US State Department spokesman as saying, that any new attack in northern Syria would “undermine regional stability and give malicious actors the opportunity to exploit this instability for their own purposes”.

The spokesman added that his country informed the Turkish government on 22 October last, that the YPG forces withdrew from the areas controlled by the Turkish army has been completed. Pointing out that Washington supports this assessment.
