ARK News: Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdul Aziz on Monday reiterated the kingdom's rejection of the Turkish operation in Syria, calling it an infringement of Syrian sovereignty.

Addressing the opening of the fourth year of the seventh session of the Shura Council, King Salman said in an extensive speech on Wednesday that Syria is a matter of concern: "We reaffirm the Kingdom's position that a political solution is the only solution to keep Syria a safe and unified homeland for all Syrians."

The King said that "this will be achieved only by the removal of all Iranian forces and militias affiliated from Syrian territory."

He added: "We also reaffirm the Kingdom's position rejecting Turkish military intervention in northeastern Syria as a blatant violation of the unity, independence, and sovereignty of Syrian territory."

He concluded by saying that the Kingdom "will continue to lend a helping hand and humanitarian assistance to the brotherly Syrian people through the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action."
