ARK News: The media martyr Hozan Abdul Halim Abu Zeid, the first Kurdish media martyr in the Syrian revolution, 19 years old, the martyr Hozan Abu Zeid is the first to raise the Kurdish flag in the yards of the Syrian city of Homs and the chants slogans of the revolution in solidarity with other Syrian cities.

A brief summary of the life of the martyr Hozan Abdul Halim Abu Zeid

The martyr Hozan Abdel Halim Mahmoud Abu Zeid is known as Hozan Halim Abu Zeid

The martyr was born in Qamishlo 23 March 1993, he was a second-year student, specializing in computer technology in Homs. From a well-educated family, his father, the poet Halim Abu Zaid, and his mother, Dilshah Iskan, hold a university degree from the Faculty of Education, awarded a certificate of appreciation from UNICEF for her outstanding role in the girls' education project in Qamishlo in 2006.

The martyr has been working as an activist and media in the Syrian revolution since the early days of its establishment, where he participated in all demonstrations in the city of Qamishlo and he was known among all its neighborhoods, and when it happened to go to his school exams offering in the city of Homs, he participated in their demonstrations and raised the flag of Kurdistan.

He also participated with them in setting up a sit-in tent in al-Khalidiya Square in Homs. The martyr Hozan was the first to raise the Kurdish flag in its main square, chanting the slogans of the revolution in solidarity with other Syrian cities.

In addition to his work as a photographer of the revolution, he corresponded with most of the anti-Assad websites and satellite stations interested in Syrian affairs, including Al-Jazeera Live, Orient Channel and many others.

The martyr also acted as a singer of the revolution, and for the admiration of the revolutionaries and the masses demonstrating it has called (Qashosh Qamishlo) like the vocalist and the martyr Ibrahim Qashosh in Hama.

The martyr devised an effective way to neutralize the tear gas canisters used by the Assad regime to disperse the demonstrations.

His method was then widely followed in Qamishlo.

The martyr was elevated when he documented with his lens hot events in the city of Sari Kaniye, and at the moment when he rose as martyr he was filming the last event with his lens that exposed and terrorized the Assad regime and his “Shabiha” (mercenaries), where the martyr was assassinated by a sniper bullet on 19-11 November 2012.

His camera remained a testament to the barbarity and barbarism that the martyr had rejected
