ARK News: A Syrian Kurdish source said on Saturday that Russian forces are establishing a new point in the countryside of Kobani in Syrian Kurdistan.

The Kurdish source told Bass News: The Russian military police set up a new point in the radio site in the vicinity of the village of Ishkafta (about 7 km west of Kobani) and near the Turkish border.

The same source added that "Russia entered the base of the village of Sirrin to the south of the city of Kobani after the withdrawal of the Americans a few days ago completely."

The source explained that "the deployment of Russian military police and Syrian border guards aims to protect the Syrian border from the Turkish incursion following the withdrawal of the Syrian Democratic Forces SDF under the US-Turkish understanding of the ceasefire as well as the recent Sochi-Russian-Turkish agreement and thus limiting Turkish control in the so-called safe area between Sari Kaniye and Gire Spi, with a depth of 32 kilometers and a length of 130 kilometers.
