After the US withdrawal, Russia deploys at the Sirrin base in Kobani
ARK News: Russian Defense Ministry Media on Friday aired video footage showing the deployment of Russian troops at the Sirrin countryside base of Kobani, following the recent withdrawal of US troops.
“Zvezda” television published a video of Russian helicopters of landing at the base on Thursday, and Russian soldiers deployed inside it, noting that US soldiers left behind food, clothing and hygiene items, and the gym remained almost unchanged.
The Russian deployment came at the base south of the city of Kobani after it left a US convoy of dozens of vehicles and trucks last Wednesday.
US Defense Secretary Mark Esper said on Thursday that the withdrawal of US troops from the Kobani region could take "another week or so" to be completed.
