Egypt warns of demographic change in Syrian Kurdistan

ARK News: Egypt has warned against the consequences of Turkish practices aimed at adjusting the demographics of Syrian Kurdistan to serve the expansionist policies of Ankara.

During his participation in the mini-ministerial meeting of the group on Syria, the US capital Washington, in order to discuss the latest developments in the Syrian arena, Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri reviewed the determinants of the Egyptian stance towards the Syrian crisis.

Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez said that the Foreign Minister's intervention dealt with the repercussions of the situation in the north and east of Syria in light of the recent Turkish attack, in addition, the associated negative effects on the course of fighting the Islamic State terrorist organization in Syria and the region, as well as the consequences of Turkish practices aimed at adjusting the demographic composition of Syrian Kurdistan to serve the expansionist policies of Turkey.
