.ARK News: According to statistics issued by the Joint Crisis Coordination Center of the Ministry of Interior in the Kurdistan Region, the number of Syrian refugees arriving in the Kurdistan Region after the Turkish military operation in eastern Euphrates in Syria from the ninth of last month until the tenth of November 2019, reached 15721 refugees in the past 24 hours, while only 141 Syrian refugees arrived over the past 24 hours in the region.

The number of Syrian refugees living in the Kurdistan region of Iraq before the Turkish military operation is about 230 thousand Syrian refugees, about 40% of them reside in nine camps in the provinces of Duhok, Erbil, and Sulaimaniyah, more than 15721 Syrian refugees have arrived in the Kurdistan region shortly after the Turkish military operation.

The United Nations is concerned that 50,000 Syrian refugees will cross in the short term to the Kurdistan region if the current situation in northeastern Syria continues to remain intenseness.
