ARK News: The United States intends to discuss the actions of Russia, Turkey and the Syrian regime in northeastern Syria during a meeting of ministers of the international coalition against ISIS, the State Department said.
A senior State Department representative, speaking by telephone, said: “On November 14th in Washington we will gather more than 35 Member States and organizations, which are key in terms of participating in operations in Syria and Iraq or supporting efforts in other ways, including by funding or carrying out civilian operations, to discuss developments over the past few months, and also including the Turkish invasion of northeastern Syria, and the involvement of Russia and the Syrian regime in this area, as well as future steps in terms of the US presence (in northern Syria).
According to him, another meeting of the so-called small group on Syria (Britain, Germany, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United States, and France) will be held before this meeting, saying that the situation in Syria will be examined from the standpoint of the political process, military situation and security.
The US official added: “In particular, the discussion will focus on the start of the work of the Constitutional Commission at the end of October in Geneva which is an important step forward, as well as on the situation in the northeast of (Syria), and how this affects many of the relevant goals aimed at achieving stability and security in Syria. "
