Lavrov: America seeks to establish a semi-state in the east of the Euphrates
ARK News: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the United States seeks to separate areas in the east of the Euphrates from Syria, and establish a semi-state on it.
Lavrov said during the peace forum in Paris: "The United States requests the Gulf countries to invest large investments there, to establish a semi-state, while it does not hide its intention to control the oil fields there.”
Lavrov noted that the United States is preventing its allies from investing in Syria's reconstruction projects, and said: "We and the Syrian regime support the call for everyone to create conditions to modernize the infrastructure, facilitate the return of refugees, and return to normal life in Syria."
