The Human Rights Organization in Afrin said in a report:
In Bulbul area: Armed elements belonging to different factions controlling the villages continue to cut down olive trees for non-existent citizens (forcibly displaced and former migrants) under the pretext of belonging to the PYD and the pretext of timing and pruning without distinction between trimmed trees or trimmed in last year, but they cut olive trees for some of the people in their villages in order to sell firewood and get money,
We mention some of the leaders and commanders of the campaign, including Tariq Jouriya, Abu Zakour, Bassam from the al-Hamzat faction, Abu Talal and al-Asmar from the Siqour al-Shimla’s faction. In addition, the settlers cut down trees, whether fruitful, such as olives, pomegranates, berries, or forests, such as Sycamore, willow, and oak trees and robbed them of various agricultural crops such as olives, grapes, and figs.
In the Mabata area:
Armed militias belonging to the al-Shamiya Front faction led by Sheikh Juma al-Jubayli and the group called Abu Ahmed steal olive fruits from the fields indiscriminately. Under the pretext of belonging to members of the PYD. Except for armed robbery and stealing olive shawls (bags of olives) after threatening the people in the middle of the fields.
In Jenderes area:
The settlers in the village of Tallef stole the olive fruit with the complicity of the leaders of the armed militias of the al-Hamzat faction, who control the village, from the fields of citizens of the Haj Hamid family. As well as the theft of olive fruits from the fields belonging to the people of the village of Kafarzite, especially by women and children and the attempted leader of the Hamzat faction in the village of Kafarzite called Fadi Batran to prevent them and quarrel with some settlers about thefts they are doing.
Despite the reduction in the number of armed factions in Afrin and sending them to other areas in Syrian Kurdistan and east of the Euphrates, the remaining factions in Afrin continue to their violations and mistreating against Kurdish civilians.
