ARK News: The Commander-in-Chief of the SDF said that they had met with the Kurdish National Council in Syria and it was now time for practical steps.

In his interview with Radio Arta FM, about his recent calls for rapprochement and unity of the Kurdish position in Syrian Kurdistan, Abdi revealed that they met with all the leaders of the Kurdish parties with the aim of holding a general conference to reach a unified Kurdish framework to unify the Kurdish discourse, and they met with the Kurdish National Council in Syria, adding that "the Kurdish National Council in Syria had demanded from us during our meeting with them, we welcomed those demands, and can be discussed and we do not against them as long as they serve the interest of our people."

Abdi added, "We have finished the first phase of meetings with all Syrian Kurdish forces, and now we are waiting for the second phase, the practical phase by holding a conference in Qamishlo to reach a unified reference."

Abdi denied that there would be no need for a military agreement with any Syrian Kurdish party, "We are fighting eight years ago in Syrian Democratic Forces SDF and we provided martyrs which represent everyone, and we do not mind the return of any Kurdish force and fighting under the banner of Syrian Democratic, because it is a comprehensive framework and the road is open to all ... for the Syrian state which wanted to stand against Turkey, we brought it, they are among our troops and we gave them a duty to carry out.

On the possibility of any military agreement, Abdi said, "our basic need at this stage is political unity, not military because we in militarily case we have done our duty in the SDF ... We need great political support for the SDF on the level of Western Kurdistan and Kurdistan."
