ARK News: A new border port between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey is scheduled to open soon.
The new border (Zaity) crossing is located in the Mirgasor area and will be the second official gateway between the region and Turkey after Ibrahim Khalil Gate.
The Zaity gate 165 km is far from the city center Hawler and will be dedicated to trading and tourism, and will bring great economic benefits to Hakari city in northern Kurdistan (Kurdistan Turkey) as well as the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
According to informed sources, the work of settling the roads leading to the new border gate has reached its final stages, followed by the work of processing the necessary border facilities.
