Qamishlo … ENKS holds its regular meeting in the presence of the head of the Council

ARK News: Members of the Kurdish National Council in Syria met on Friday, June 28, 2019, in the city of Qamishlo, Syrian Kurdistan.

The meeting was attended by the President of the Kurdish National Council and the secretary of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria "Saud Mulla" and members of the Presidential Body of the Council and members of the Kurdish National Council.

The meeting dealt with the general political issues and the Kurdish issue in Syrian Kurdistan in particular.

Suleiman Oso secretary of the Kurdistan Yekiti Party – Syria and a member of the presidential body of the Council told the Kurdish National Council site (R-ENKS) saying: “During the meeting, we discussed the political issues, the position of the French state and the initiative that we presented it and as we the council ready to implement it on the ground. We talked also about the safe area, the role of the Council and Roj Peshmerga in it. "

For his part, a member of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria stated to the same site saying: "Our meeting today discussed the development and updates of the current political situation in general and the extent its impact on the Syrian crisis, and that the solution lies in political rather than military action."

Amin continued by saying: "We discussed during our meeting the status of the Council within the coalition and the need for continuity in spite of the presence of some of the Chauvinism figures, but there are figures that stand by the Kurdish issue and support it, and the need for continuity of the Council because the coalition is part of the Syrian opposition”.

Amin concluded by saying: "During our meeting, we discussed the need to activate the offices of the Council and its institutions, as we also discussed the situation of splits within the Council and will be resolved at a meeting in coming two weeks."
