Afrin … An armed faction imposes financial charges on the owners of the water wells
ARK News: A Human Rights Organization working to document violations in the Kurdish region of Afrin said today 29/6/2019 that the commander of the so-called Hanish faction has imposed a financial fee to every citizen in Shara town who dig a well.
The Human Rights Organization in Afrin said that the commander of the so-called Hanish faction nicknamed Abo Ghazi has imposed a financial fee of 50 thousand Syrian pounds to every citizen in Shara town who dig a well and includes fees even wells that dug since the entry of Turkish forces, and citizens who were fined are:
1 Youssef Ibrahim nicknamed (Youssef Kabsu) 50 thousand Syrian pounds.
2 - Abdo Jamil nicknamed (Kasper) who dug a well about three months ago and fined with 50,000 Syrian pounds.
The Organization added in its report that citizens have already obtained permits to dig wells from the Local Council and paid the estimated fee of 10 thousand Syrian pounds. The Hanish faction is a military entity that is not entitled to interfere in the civil and local affairs of the local council.
On the other hand, the Organization said that Hanish armed elements are numbering houses in Shara town in order to pay the rental fees of the settlers in favor of the faction later. Noting that Abu Ghazi, during the harvest of olive, was previously seized, during the harvest of olive, of the property of 'Abdo Sha’bo and Kamal Ahmad Agha Jalousie and imposed the royalties on the farmers in Gabalake village, except for the seizure of his armed elements of the house of Jamal Alloush in the town.
