Burning of agriculture land in Ain Dewar in rural Derik

ARK News: The fires that have been taking place in the area for several days have affected the agricultural land in the village of Ain Dewar in the countryside of Derik in Kurdistan of Syria.

Hoshang Simgamoor, a member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria and who is from the village of Mazra, said the ARK News that the land of Ain Dewar near the village of Mazra witnessed yesterday a fire for unknown reasons, and the people of the two villages and neighboring villages managed to control these fires in a short time before they expand and spread.

Simgamoor added that there were two headquarters belong to the PYD militants near the scene of the incident, but the cause of the fire was not known yet.

According to official statistics about 80 thousand dunums have been affected so far which planted with wheat and barley in all areas of the province of Hasaka due to the fire, both the regime and the Syria Democratic Forces (QSD) accuse each other of fomenting the fires, as well as accusing Turkey and the sleeper cells of stirring up fires
