ARK News: Today, June 12, 2019, is passing the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Ahmed Sheikho, deputy head of the Local Council of Shiye town in the Kurdish city of Afrin, who was dead under torture in the prisons of Al-Amshat.

And after the factions of Al-Amshat on 7/6/2018 carried out a campaign of raiding of the homes of Kurdish civilians in the town and kidnapping of about fifteen people and stealing large amounts of allocations belong to the Local Council of the town, then they released the abductees and including Ahmed Mohammed Sheikho, who was beaten and severely tortured and was martyred hours after his release.

Ahmed Sheikho, deputy head of the local council in Shiye town of Afrin and a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria died on Monday 11/6/2018 from his severe wounds hours after the release by Al-Amshat.

The brother of the martyr Mustapha Sheikho told ARK Media Foundation that the funeral ceremony was held on Tuesday 12/6/2018 at 10 am amid the threat of Al-Amshat factions to not photograph the funeral ceremonies and publish it in social networking sites and the Kurdish media.

Despite the confirmation of the charge that Ahmed Sheikho was tortured in Al-Amshat prison in Qarmitlq village and his subsequent martyred after that, but the perpetrators are still at large and are continuing their violations against the Kurds in the town and its villages
