ARK News: Armed groups which control Jala village of Rajo town in the Kurdish region of Afrin, carried out of setting fire to thousands of cherry, olive and forest trees to be the second such incident in one week.

The Human Rights Organization in Afrin said in a report yesterday, 7 June 2019 that "armed elements belonging to the faction of Faylaq Al-Sham, led by Abu Ugil, who controls the village of Jala of Rajo town set fire, on Friday morning, 07/06/2019, to the forests and fruit trees surrounding the village, causing severe damage to the property of the Kurdish citizens and the elimination of thousands of olive, cherry, and forest trees. "

The Organization pointed out that the fire spread widely and rapidly towards the village of Khulalka of Bulbul town, noting that these fires were set for the second time this week by the same elements

According to another report by the same Organization that the flames devoured the sites in Hawar mountain saying: "We were informed on Friday, 06/06/2019 that the flames devoured the series of Hawar mountain from the village of Hasan Deira of Bulbul town to the other villages belonging to the areas of Bulbul and Rajo sporadically from here and there "

Mountain sites, trees and forests in the region are exposed to deliberate fire by armed factions and groups without deterrent or uncensored, while the people, councils and civil defense teams rush to extinguish those fires, where since the control of these factions groups to the present day on Afrin region thousands of fruit trees and mountainous areas and large areas of agricultural fields were exposed to deliberate fire.
