Two Kurdish win the membership of the Danish parliament
ARK News: Two Kurds, Lars Aslan, and Halima Oguz, won two seats in Denmark's 197-seat parliament for the first time.
Oguz parliamentary for the Socialist Party list said: “I have been in Denmark since the age of six, I joined the ranks of the Socialist Party 10 years ago, and in the recent legislative elections, the party won 14 seats out of 179, and I became with Lars Aslan the first two Kurds to win the membership of parliament”.
Halima Oguz was born in 1979 in Konya, studied in Denmark and graduated from the Faculty of Arts/Department of Politics and Relations.
Oguz pointed out that "Aslan belongs to the Social Democratic Party and was born to a Kurdish father from Ankara and his mother is Danish. He was elected a member of the Danish parliament and his party won 48 seats”.
