Western department of Local Councils of the ENKS hold its ordinary course

ARK News: The Western Department of Local Councils in the Kurdish National Council in Syria held its ordinary meeting on Monday, 3.6.2019, with the presence of Mr. Mohsen Taher, head of the Local Councils Affairs Office.

The Western Department of the Local Councils in the Kurdish National Council in Syria (Hasaka, Sari Kaniye, Abu Rasain, Tal Tamir) held in the absence of Kobani Locality held its meeting, on Monday, 3.6.2019, with the presence of Mr. Mohsen Taher, head of the Local Councils Affairs Office.

The meeting began with a minute of silence for the martyrs of the Kurds and Kurdistan, led by Barzani the immortal.

In the organizational situation, reports from local councils were read and responded to, and the heads of the Local Councils were informed of the new decisions issued by the General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria.

The meeting also explained the organizational situation of each council and mechanism of its activation according to the geographic region in which it is located.

In the political situation, the Syrian situation was discussed in general and the Kurdish situation in particular. Taher then spoke about the latest political developments, which focused on several key points:

1- American and European meetings with the Kurdish national council inside Syria and abroad.

2. The French initiative and the Council's position on that initiative.

3. The American emphasis on the continuation of the establishment of a safe zone and the role of the Council in that region.

4 – The continuous devastation, destruction, looting and robbery on our Kurdish people in Afrin by armed factions and groups supported by the Turkish army.

5 – As for the Kurdistan situation, Taher presented in his name and on behalf of all the heads of the Local Councils congratulations to Mr. Nichirvan Barzani by his election as president of the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

At the end of the meeting, the Council appreciated the role and efforts of the leader Masoud Barzani on ending the Syrian crisis at the international level and standing his sovereignty alongside the Syrian people in general and the Kurdish situation in particular
