An explosion in Izaz city leaves tens of casualties and wounded
ARK News: The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a large explosion occurred yesterday left tens of causalities near the area of Souq Al-Haddadeen in Izaz city center in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that a violent explosion caused by the explosion of a booby-trapped vehicle was heard while the prayers were leaving after “Tarawih” -additional prayers performed by Muslims after the Evening prayer during the holy month of Ramadan- in the area of Souq Al-Haddadeen near Al-Mutayam Mosque in Izaz city center, where it resulted in the killing of 14 citizens including 4 children under the age of eighteen, and there are 5 casualties whose identity is not known so far as the bodies were charred, and the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured cases some of them are in serious conditions.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also mentioned that a booby-trapped vehicle driven by a suicidal bomber targeted Al-Na’em roundabout in Raqqa city yesterday, which killed 11 persons including 6 citizens and 5 fighters within the ranks of the Syria Democratic Forces.
Turkey launched in 2016 a large-scale military operation inside the Syrian territory called "Euphrates Shield", and seized in its wake on more than 2000 square kilometers of land in northern Syria, including Izaz.
