ARK News: Mr. Abdul Rahman Mustafa, the respected, the head of the forces of the National Coalition of Syrian Revolution and Opposition.
It was clear the extent of the suffering of Afrin people during the period of control of the Democratic Union Party the PYD, due to practices and violations, confiscation of funds and seizure of property, lack of political and intellectual freedom and the arrest and torture of activists and opponents, recruitment of children, compulsory recruitment campaigns and others. With the exit of the PYD from Afrin region, some people hoped for a state of détente at all levels. Unfortunately, with the beginning of the armed factions' control over Afrin, part of which is claimed to belong to the Free Syrian Army, the situations have deteriorated and headed towards the worst. The armed factions have been and continue to practice the most egregious violations of human rights and commit crimes of murder, kidnapping, imposition of royalties and burning of forests and the seizure of property, and livelihood of the people of Afrin, The armed factions have caused the collapse and decline of the economic conditions of the region and its people. as well as implementing dangerous demographic change plans, in a large and growing manner in Afrin.

The latest crimes committed by the factions were the kidnapping of Sharaf Addin Sido, Rashid Hamid Khalil, and his son, and then asking the families of the abductees to pay $ 100,000 for their release which ended the killing of Rashid Hamid Khalil torturing to death, which his body was found and the effects of severe torture on him on 22 May, 2019. Which confirms the continuation of the armed factions to commit violations and crimes systematically and without any deterrent.

Since the bulk of the armed factions and the Free Army consider the military wing of the Syrian opposition, led by the National Coalition of Forces of the Revolution and the opposition, you must take a clear and frank attitude towards the armed factions and their practices in Afrin. We, therefore, call upon you to condemn the crimes and violations of the armed factions, and we also call on you to renounce them and not to be a political cover for them. If the National Coalition for Revolutionary Forces does not do so, the National Coalition for Revolutionary Forces and the Opposition will be primarily responsible for all violations and crimes committed in Afrin. At the same time that we demand accountability for the crimes of the Syrian regime, we demand accountability of the perpetrators of the crimes of the Syrian opposition as well. We call for the immediate release of Sharaf Addin Sido and the son of the deceased Rashid Hamid Khalil.

We call on the National Coalition of the Revolutionary Forces and the opposition to demand, at all international and local levels, the withdrawal of all armed factions not belonging to Afrin, and support and facilitate the return of all the people of Afrin, and call for international forces under the auspices of the United Nations to take over the protection of Afrin and its people and achieve security and stability in Afrin, in order to create a democratic and free atmosphere, to hold free, fair and fair elections leading to the management of Afrin by its people.
