The PYD reduces the purchase price of a ton of wheat $ 126 from last year
ARK News: The Democratic Union Party the (PYD) reduced the purchase price of wheat from farmers in areas under its control to $ 126 per ton compared with the purchase price last year 2018.
In this year, the management of the PYD set the price of wheat for the 2019 season of 150,000 Syrian pounds, while the purchase price in the 2018 season was set at 175,000 SP.
If we compare the purchase price in US dollars in 2018 and 2019, with the exchange rate of the US dollar against the Syrian Pound, we find that the price fell to $ 126 per ton from the previous year, as follows:
Season 2018
US $ 1 = 450 Syrian pounds
Purchase price of wheat = 175000 Syrian pounds = 389 US dollars.
Season 2019
US $ 1 = 570 SP
Purchase price of wheat = 150000 SYP = 263 USD.
The difference between the purchase price for the 2018 season and the buying price for the 2019 season:
289-263 = 126 US dollars per ton.
