ARK News: The world champion of boxing died on Wednesday 15 May 2019 due to a heart attack in Qamishlo city in Kurdistan of Syria.

Activists posted on social networking sites, news of the death of the world champion Bassam Al-Hajiri due to a heart attack in the city of Qamishlo.

Al-Hajiri won several local and international titles, where he was crowned world champion in lifting weights for the disabled, which was established in 1994 in Britain.

Hajiri was born in 1966, in Qamishlo city, and his lower limbs were paralyzed after a medical error at an early of his age.
