ARK News.. On the sidelines of his participation in the World Governments Summit in Dubai, Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani held a series of meetings with regional and international leaders.
On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, Prime Minister Barzani met with Jordanian Prime Minister Dr. Ja’far Hassan, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, and Sheikh Saif bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates.
During his meeting with Jordanian Prime Minister Dr. Ja'far Hassan, the two sides exchanged views on the overall situation in Iraq and the region. Dr. Hassan conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan to Prime Minister Barzani, reaffirming Jordan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with the Kurdistan Region and further advancing cooperation.
For his part, Prime Minister Barzani expressed the Kurdistan Region’s deep respect and appreciation for the support extended by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, particularly by King Abdullah II, to the people of Kurdistan.
In his meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, both leaders underscored the importance of enhancing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across various fields. In another part of the discussion, the Georgian Prime Minister expressed high appreciation for the positive role played by the Kurdish community in Georgia.
Prime Minister Barzani and Sheikh Saif bin Zayed al-Nahyan also emphasized the need to further strengthen the close and distinguished relations between the Kurdistan Region and the United Arab Emirates, and to elevate cooperation in various sectors.
The latest developments regarding the overall situation in Iraq and the wider region also featured prominently in the discussions.

Syrian President Receives Delegation from the Kurdish National Council in Syria
ARK News.. The Syrian President, Ahmad al-Sharaa, received a delegation from the Kurdish National Council in Syria on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the People’s Palace in Damascus. The delegation was headed by Mohammed Ismail, President of the Kurdish National Council.
According to a statement published by the Syrian Presidency on its official Facebook page, President al-Sharaa reaffirmed during the meeting the state’s commitment to guaranteeing Kurdish rights within the framework of the Syrian constitution.
For its part, the Kurdish National Council in Syria welcomed Presidential Decree No. 13, describing it as an important step toward strengthening rights and safeguarding cultural and social particularities.

Musa Ahmed: Barzani Charity Foundation Operates in Syrian Kurdistan Based on President Barzani’s Recommendations
ARK News.. The Head of the Barzani Charity Foundation announced the delivery of humanitarian aid provided by the Soran Independent Administration to Syrian Kurdistan.
Musa Ahmed, Head of the Barzani Charity Foundation, said at a press conference on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, that as part of the foundation’s ongoing campaigns in Rojava, a total of 5,582 liters of fuel have been distributed so far.
Ahmed noted that, as a fundamental duty and in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the General Health Directorates in Erbil and Duhok, the foundation’s medical teams have conducted medical examinations and provided treatment to 5,582 people.
Regarding economic recovery and job creation, the head of the foundation explained that, in addition to professional staff and contracted employees, the foundation has succeeded during this period in providing 655 job opportunities for local residents.
In another part of his remarks, he stressed the foundation’s mission, saying: “We work based on the recommendations of President Barzani, and our message is that the services we provide are neither charity nor favors, but a duty we bear to serve our brothers and sisters.”
He also stated that, in line with the directives of Masrour Barzani, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, operations are being carried out in a professional manner, adding that an official office of the Barzani Charity Foundation will be opened in Rojava in the near future to better serve citizens.

Masrour Barzani: The Kurdish People in Syria Deserve Recognition of Their Existence and Rights
ARK News..The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, reaffirmed the Kurdistan Region’s support for the new agreement concluded between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Syrian government, stressing that the Kurdish people in Syria deserve recognition of their rights, respect, and appreciation.
Speaking in a press statement on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, on the sidelines of his participation in the World Government Summit in Dubai, Barzani said:
“We hope that this understanding (the agreement between the SDF and the Syrian government) will serve as a starting point for a more durable and stable arrangement between the two sides, paving the way for peace and security in the country.”
He also underscored the need to guarantee the rights of all components in Syria’s future, stating:
“Any bilateral agreement must respect the rights of all segments of the Syrian people, foremost among them the Kurdish people, who have endured long and bitter suffering. Today, they deserve recognition of their existence and rights, and to be treated in a manner befitting their sacrifices.”

In a statement issued on Monday, February 2, 2026, the Council said the meeting stressed the necessity of constitutional recognition of the Kurdish people as an integral partner in Syria, and the guarantee of their national, political, and cultural rights. The Council noted that such recognition would consolidate the principle of genuine national partnership while preserving the Kurdish people’s distinct identity within the framework of a unified, pluralistic, and democratic Syrian state.
The meeting also addressed ways to open a serious political dialogue that places the Kurdish issue in its rightful position as a just national cause that cannot be ignored or marginalized in any future political settlement in Syria

A delegation from the leadership of the Kurdish National Council visited Damascus on Monday, where it met with the Syrian foreign minister and other officials.

ARK News.. President Masoud Barzani discussed the situation in Syria and the latest regional developments with the British Ambassador to Iraq, Irfan Siddiq.
