ARK News... Migrants from Syrian Kurdistan lost their lives by drowning off the Libyan coast while trying to reach the Italian shores.
Local sources told AR, on Monday, March 6, 2023, that immigrants, including women and children, drowned off the Libyan coast, and the small boat was carrying 27 people.
The sources indicated that most of the victims were from the city of Kobani, including 6 from one family, namely: Haji Weso Ahmed (29 years old), his brother Mahmoud Weso Ahmed (30 years old), Berivan Muhammad Fathi, the wife of Mahmoud Weso (27 years old), and their three sons: Land (7 years old). Lawand (5 years) and Fouad (4 years) are from the village of Bira Mamme, in addition to Bakr Mahmoud (30 years) from the village of Qichik.
Mrs. Aida Jamil Hamid, the wife of Abdo Shukri Hamid, and his two daughters, Aya and Diana, were among the victims of the boat sinking and also lost their lives. The family originally descended from Mabata town and before their displacement to Aleppo lived in the town of Basouta in Afrin, Syrian Kurdistan.
The fate of some is still unknown.
Dozens of Kurdish refugees from Syrian Kurdistan have lost their lives in recent months in the Mediterranean, fleeing the tragic conditions in the region.

ووقال مصدر مقرب من العائلة لـ ARK إن بحري رشيد معمو، عضو في المجلس المحلي للحزب الديمقراطي الكوردستاني - سوريا PDK-S توفي بحادث سير في أربيل.
الراحل من مواليد 1959، ينحدر من قرية جوبانا Çobana التابعة ناحية راجو في عفرين بكوردستان سوريا.
ومنذ بداية الأزمة السورية لجأ وعائلته إلى إقليم كوردستان, ودفن في مقبرة كسنزان بريف أربيل.

Rasoul Khalil: The great role played by Barzani Charity in Afrin prompted some parties to obscure its work
ARK News... Rasul Khalil, a member of the advisory body of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, said that the Barzani Charity Foundation distributes aid to the affected people in Afrin and Jenderes according to an organized mechanism.
Khalil added, during his participation in the Rebaz Bulletin, on Sunday 5-3-2023, that the people and the displaced Arabs are delighted with Barzani's Charity assistance and thank the Kurdistan Region's leadership and people.
He explained that there is a section of the people who still need tents and are afraid to sleep in their homes for fear of aftershocks.
Regarding the media blackout practiced by some media agencies on the work of the Barzani Charity Foundation in Afrin and Jenderes, a member of the advisory body of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria confirmed that the great role played by the Foundation and the people's reception full of the Kurdistan flag made those parties practice a policy of obscuring their work.

آرك نيوز... فقد مهاجرون من كوردستان سوريا حياتهم غرقاً قبالة السواحل الليبية أثناء محاولتهم الوصول إلى الشواطئ الإيطالية.
وقالت المصادر المحلية لـ ARK اليوم, 6 آذار 2023 إن مهاجرين بينهم أطفال ونساء غرقوا قبالة السواحل الليبية والقارب الصغير كان يحمل 27 شخصاً.
وأوضحت المصادر أن أغلب الضحايا من مدينة كوباني بينهم 6 من عائلة واحدة، وهم: حجي ويسو أحمد ( 29 عاماً ) وشقيقه محمود ويسو أحمد (30 عاماً ) وبريفان محمد فتحي زوجة محمود ويسو( 27 عاماً ) وأبنائهما الثلاثة: ألند ( 7 أعوام), لفند (5 أعوام ) وفؤاد (4 أعوام ) وينحدرون من قرية بيرا مامي Bîra Mamê, إضافةً إلى بكر محمود ( 30 عاماً ) من قرية قجك.
وكانت السيدة عايدة جميل حميد زوجة عبدو شكري حميد وابنتاه آية وديانا من ضحايا غرق القارب وفقدن حياتهن أيضاً, والعائلة تنحدر بالأصل من ناحية ماباتا وكانت تسكن قبل نزوحهم إلى حلب في بلدة باسوطة في عفرين بكوردستان سوريا.
ولايزال مصير البعض مجهولاً حتى الآن.
وفقد عشرات اللاجئين الكورد من كوردستان سوريا حياتهم خلال الأشهر الأخيرة في البحر المتوسط هرباً من الأوضاع المأساوية التي تعيشها المنطقة.

Masrour Barzani: The glorious uprising of 1991 was nothing but the result of the solidarity of the Kurdish forces side by side with the various components, classes, and segments of Kurdistan
ARK News… The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, on Sunday, March 5, 2023, issued a statement on the occasion of the anniversary of the glorious March uprising that began in 1991.
The Prime Minister said in the statement: "With the thirty-second anniversary of the launch of the glorious and venerable uprising of the Kurdish people in March 1991, we extend our warmest congratulations and blessings to all Kurdistan, the valiant Peshmerga, and the families of the honorable martyrs."
He added, "The glorious uprising of 1991 was nothing but the fruit of the solidarity of the Kurdish forces side by side with the various components, classes, and segments of Kurdistan, and it constituted a turning point in the history of the struggle of the people of Kurdistan and their struggle to get rid of injustice, oppression, and occupation, and breathe the nectar of freedom."
He continued, “The uprising was a clear and evident message from the Kurdish people to the entire world, rejecting authoritarianism and occupation, and yearning to live with honor and dignity. On this blessed anniversary, we affirm the solidarity of the national people of Kurdistan and their solidarity in order to defend their national achievements and their constitutional rights, which we will spare no effort in defending by all means, and we will not compromise or give up on them, and we will move forward in the process of rebuilding and prospering Kurdistan.
The prime minister concluded his statement by saying: "On the anniversary of the uprising, we bow to its immortal martyrs and all the martyrs of Kurdistan."

A Kurdish artist sells a painting for 5,700 euros for the benefit of the earthquake victims in Jenderes
ARK News... A Kurdish artist managed to sell her painting for 5,700 euros for the benefit of the earthquake victims in the city of Jenderes, in Syrian Kurdistan.
The Kurdish plastic artist, Yasamin Khalil, who is from Gobake village of Mabata town in Afrin, wanted to provide financial support by painting paintings on the ruins of destroyed houses in Jenderes.
Khalil said in statements to ARK that she was able to sell her paintings for 5,700 euros for the benefit of those affected by the earthquake in Jenderes.
She confirmed that the sale of the painting took place through a live broadcast of the Afrin Live page, in a public auction, the first of its kind.
She indicated that she wants to provide support to those affected through her paintings, and she is continuing to do so.
Except for Yasamin Khalil, there are many plastic artists who provide support to the affected through their paintings and convey the suffering of the affected to the world.

President Barzani: The Kurdistan Region entity is one of the achievements of the Kurdish people's uprising in 1991
ARK News… Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani, on Sunday, confirmed that the Kurdistan Region entity is one of the achievements of the 1991 uprising, stressing the need to protect and strengthen this achievement.
President Barzani said in a statement: "On the occasion of the thirty-second anniversary of the uprising of the great Kurdish people, I congratulate the families of the righteous martyrs and the heroic Peshmerga, and all the fighters, advocates of liberation, patriots and all the people of Kurdistan."
He added, "The uprising was achieved thanks to the will of the liberation of the Kurdish people, the heroism of the Peshmerga, and the planning and unification of all parties in the Kurdistan liberation movement."
The Kurdish leader said: “The uprising has proven to friends and enemies that oppression and intimidation cannot extinguish the will for liberation in the hearts of the Kurdish people. قصف متبادل بين النظام وفصائل المعارضة في منطقة "خفض التصعيد"
كثفت قوات النظام والميليشيات المدعومة من روسيا وإيران من قصفها المدفعي والصاروخي على مناطق متفرقة من أرياف إدلب وحماة وحلب واللاذقية، فيما ردت فصائل "الفتح المبين" على مواقع عسكرية ضمن منطقة سهل الغاب بريف حماة الشمالي الغربي.
وقالت مصادر محلية لـ"زمان الوصل"، إن قوات النظام والميليشيات المدعومة من روسيا وإيران استهدفت بأكثر من 40 قذيفة مدفعية وصاروخية صباح اليوم الأحد، بلدات "الزيارة، والعنكاوي، والسرمانية"، في منطقة سهل الغاب بريف حماة الشمالي الغربي، و"التفاحية" و"الكبانة" في جبل الأكراد بريف اللاذقية الشمالي الشرقي، دون وقوع إصابات بشرية.
وأكدت المصادر، أن قوات النظام استهدفت بشكل مكثف خلال الـ24 ساعة الماضية بلدة "معارة النعسان" شمال محافظة إدلب، وبلدات "كفر تعال، وكفر عمة، وكفر نوران، وبلنتا" بريف حلب الغربي، تزامن ذلك مع تحليق طائرتي استطلاع روسية في أجواء منطقة "خفض التصعيد الرابعة" (إدلب وما حولها).
إلى ذلك، استهدف فوج المدفعية والصواريخ العامل لدى "الجبهة الوطنية للتحرير" المنضوية ضمن غرفة عمليات "الفتح المبين" بقذائف المدفعية الثقيلة صباح اليوم الأحد، مواقع عسكرية لقوات النظام والميليشيات المدعومة من روسيا في بلدة "العمقية" ضمن منطقة سهل الغاب بريف حماة الشمالي الغربي، مُعلنين عن تحقيق إصابات مباشرة ضمن المواقع المستهدفة.
وكانت فصائل غرفة عمليات "الفتح المبين" قد استهدفت ليل أمس السبت بصواريخ محلية الصنع أُطلق عليها اسم "الزؤام"، مواقع عسكرية مشتركة بين قوات النظام والميليشيات الإيرانية في بلدة "بسرطون" بريف حلب الغربي، مُعلنين تحقيق إصابات مباشرة جراء الاستهدافات.
