ARK News… The General Union of Kurdish Writers and Journalists called for the release of the journalist, Barzan Liyani, who was kidnapped by the PYD militants in the town of Girke Lage in Syrian Kurdistan.
ARK has received a copy of the statement which reads:
The Freedoms Office of the General Union of Kurdish Writers and Journalists in Syria is following, with concern, the kidnapping of the journalist: Barzan Liani, which was carried out today by PYD militants.
The Freedoms Office of the General Union of Kurdish Writers and Journalists condemns the operations of the families on the basis of opinion, as it demands his immediate release.

The release of a number of Kurdish youths in Mosul prison, and the arrest of 75 other youths
ARK News… A number of the people of the city of Kobani who were released from the prison of the Iraqi city of Mosul have arrived in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, and many of the people of Syrian Kurdistan and Syrian citizens are still in Iraqi prisons.
On Wednesday, August 16, 2023, the head of the “Canî Roj” Humanitarian Organization and the Ambassador of Global Peace for Human Rights published on his Facebook page that a number of young men from the city of Kobani, who were released from the "Al-Faisaliah" prison in the Iraqi city of Mosul, have arrived in Erbil.
He added, "The released youth confirmed that the Iraqi Border Guard forces brought 75 new prisoners from Syria, including Kurds from Syrian Kurdistan, during the past three days, to the prison after they arrested them on the Syrian-Iraqi border."
In a statement to ARK on the seventh of August, Rashid Ali Jan, Global Peace Ambassador for Human Rights, revealed that hundreds of Syrians are imprisoned in Mosul and Baghdad, and out of 450 people, 300 are in Mosul prisons and the others are in Baghdad on charges of illegal entry into the country.
He pointed out that the United Nations is not interested in the cases of detainees, welcoming at the same time the issuance of the President of the Supreme Judicial Council in Iraq, a decision not to deport any Syrian refugee to Syria.

قامشلو.. ارتفاع أسعار الفروج واللحم الأحمر
تشهد أسواق كوردستان سوريا ارتفاعاً جنونياً في أسعار المواد الغذائية في ظل هبوط قيمة الليرة السورية أمام الدولار الأمريكي وغياب الرقابة من إدارة PYD على الأسعار.
أفاد مصدر خاص من مدينة قامشلو لـ آرك نيوز بأن سعر كيلو اللحم الأحمر وصل إلى 100 ألف ليرة سورية، وكيلو الفروج إلى 31 ألفا. مضيفاً أن سعر عبوة الزيت وصل إلى 80 ألف ليرة سورية.

أدانت الأمانة العامة للمجلس الوطني الكوردي في بيان الأربعاء 15 آب 2023، اختطاف الإعلامي برزان حسين والناشط الشبابي جنيد سيد مجيد، مطالبة بالإفراج الفوري عنهما.
وجاء في البيان:
أقدمت مجموعة مسلحة ملثمة تابعة لحزب الاتحاد الديمقراطي (PYD) على اختطاف الإعلامي برزان حسين عضو الحزب الديمقراطي الكوردستاني – سوريا والناشط الشبابي جنيد سيد مجيد عضو المجلس الوطني الكوردي في سوريا في بلدة كركي لكي بتاريخ 15 آب 2023.
تأتي هذه الاعتقالات في ظل الأزمة الاقتصادية الخانقة التي تعيشها الجماهير وانهيار الليرة السورية بشكل لحظي وترتفع معها الأسعار والخدمات وأجور العلاج والأدوية في موازاة الضرائب والإتاوات التي تفرض على المواطنين من قبل حزب الاتحاد الديمقراطي (PYD).
هذا الواقع المزري الذي يعيشه شعبنا يدفع الكثيرين منهم إلى بيع كل ممتلكاتهم للهجرة بحثاً عن الأمان ولقمة العيش، ويفقد الكثيرون منهم حياتهم في البحار والغابات قبل وصولهم لتلك الدول.
تأتي هذه الاعتقالات لترهيب المواطنين وزيادة القبضة الأمنية على رقاب الشعب لمنع أية ردات فعل واحتجاجات جماهيرية قد تحصل.
إن المجلس الوطني الكوردي في سوريا يدين بأشد العبارات هذه الاعتقالات الترهيبية بحق الإعلامي برزان حسين والناشط جنيد سيد مجيد، ويطالب بالإفراج الفوري عنهم. كما ندعو كل منظمات حقوق الإنسان والجهات الدولية للتدخل ومنع هذه الانتهاكات بحق المواطنين والنشطاء.

On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, I extend my warmest congratulations to the families of the righteous martyrs and heroes of the Peshmerga, the presidency, cadres, members and loyalists of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, the people of Kurdistan and the freedom fighters.
On this occasion, I value the struggles and sacrifices of the party's masses, which passed through the difficult and fateful stages and have always been the nucleus of endurance, perseverance and continuity, for the cause of the people of Kurdistan.

زار وفد من قيادة الحزب الديمقراطي الكوردستاني- سوريا الشيخ مانع حميدي الدهام شيخ الشمر، في مقر إقامة الضيف في هولير عاصمة كوردستان مساء اليوم 16-8-2023.
الوفد برئاسة سكرتير الحزب محمد إسماعيل، وسعيد عمر عضو المكتب السياسي للحزب الديمقراطي الكوردستاني- سوريا ومسؤول مكتب العلاقات الوطنية للحزب في إقليم كوردستان.
بحث الوفد مع الضيف قضايا ذات اهتمام مشترك، والعلاقات الثنائية المتينة التي تربط بين مختلف المكونات المتعايشة في سوريا، ودور عشيرة شمر في الحفاظ على السلم الأهلي.
وكان الشيخ الدهام قد التقى مع الرئيس مسعود بارزاني قبل يومين لتوطيد العلاقات الأخوية بين الكورد والعرب.
