"Gulf Cooperation" calls for support for the political solution in Syria
ARK News… The Gulf Cooperation Council stressed the necessity of convening the Syrian Constitutional Committee before the end of this year, calling on the United Nations to redouble its efforts to support the political solution in accordance with UN resolutions.
This came during the meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf at its 157th session, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on Thursday, September 7, 2023, with the participation of the foreign ministers of the UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman.
The Ministerial Council affirmed its firm positions towards preserving the territorial integrity of Syria, respecting its independence and sovereignty over its territories, rejecting regional interference in its internal affairs, and supporting the political solution to the Syrian crisis in accordance with the relevant United Nations resolutions.
The Council expressed its support for the efforts of the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General to Syria, Geir Pedersen, calling on the United Nations to “redouble efforts to support the political solution in accordance with the relevant United Nations resolutions, support the efforts made to care for Syrian refugees and displaced persons, and work for their safe return to their cities and villages,” according to international standards.”

Turkey targets PKK officials within 48 hours
ARK News… The Turkish Ministry of Defense, on Friday, announced that it had targeted a PKK official in the Kurdistan Region.

America and Turkey discuss the Syrian situation

السويداء.. الآلاف يتوجهون لساحة الكرامة تحضيرا لمظاهرة ضد النظام السوري
أظهرت صور بثتها مواقع إخبارية محلية توجه آلاف المحتجين إلى ساحة الكرامة بمدينة السويداء جنوبي سوريا، للمطالبة بإسقاط النظام السوري ورحيل الرئيس بشار الأسد.
أفادت مصادر محلية من السويداء أن الآلاف من المحتجين بدؤوا اليوم السبت ( 9 / 9 / 2023 ) بالتوجه إلى ساحة الكرامة لليوم 21 وسط السويداء تحضيرا لمظاهرة ضد النظام.
وشهدت احتجاجات يوم أمس الجمعة مشاركة شعبية واسعة من مختلف قرى وبلدات السويداء، وردد المتظاهرون في ساحة الكرامة هتافات من قبيل ""نحن بدنا (نريد) حرية.. غصب عنك يا بشار رح نحصل ع (على) الحرية" وأخرى تطالب برحيل الأسد.
وبث ناشطون صورة إحراق محتجين صورة للرئيس ووالده الراحل حافظ كانت مثبتة على واجهة مبنى "اتحاد الفلاحين" في مدينة السويداء، وبحسب الصور فإن المحتجين عملوا أيضا على إغلاق باب المبنى.

هادي البحرة: لم نلتق أي دعوة من الأمم المتحدة لعقد اجتماع جديد للجنة الدستورية
أفاد الرئيس المشترك للجنة الدستورية السورية، هادي البحرة، بأن الهيئة لم تتلق أي دعوة من جانب الأمم المتحدة لعقد اجتماع جديد للجنة، مؤكداً أن النظام السوري "لا يسعى لأي حل سياسي".
وفي تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة "العربي الجديد"، قال البحرة إن "أي حل سياسي للقضية السورية يجب أن يُبنى على القرارات الدولية ذات الصلة"، مشيراً إلى أن النظام "المعيق الأساس للعملية السياسية".
وأوضح أنه "لا يمكن تحقيق الأمن والاستقرار والسلام المستدام في سوريا إلا عبر حل سياسي مبني على تنفيذ قرار مجلس الأمن 2254".

بيدرسن يناقش إمكانية تحدد موعد لانعقاد الجولة التاسعة للجنة الدستورية في سلطنة عُمان
من المقرر أن يصل غيير بيدرسن المبعوث الأممي إلى العاصمة دمشق اليوم السبت في زيارة تستغرق يومين.
كشفت مصادر إعلامية سورية أن غيير بيدرسن سيعقد اجتماعا مع فيصل المقداد وزير الخارجية في حكومة النظام السوري لمناقشة إمكانية تحديد موعد لانعقاد الجولة التاسعة للجنة مناقشة الدستور في سلطنة عمان.
يأتي العمل على عقد الاجتماع بعد توافق المشاركين في لجنة الاتصال العربية على عقد الاجتماع المقبل للجنة الدستورية في سلطنة عُمان بتسهيل وتنسيق مع الأمم المتحدة قبل نهاية العام الجاري، والترحيب الأممي على لسان بيدرسون بالخطوة العربية.

رابطة الصحفيين السوريين: النظام وPYD تقاسما انتهاكات شهر آب ضد الإعلام
أدانت رابطة الصحفيين السوريين في تقريرها الشهري استمرار الانتهاكات ضد الإعلام في سوريا خلال شهر آب 2023 مؤكدة أن "حرية وسائل الإعلام وسلامة الصحفيين لا تزال عرضة للتهديد في مختلف أنحاء البلاد".
وقالت الرابطة إن شهر آب الماضي "شهد وقوع انتهاكين ضد الإعلام في سوريا حيث تقاسمت سلطات أمن النظام السوري وحزب الاتحاد الديمقراطي PYD، الانتهاكين الموثقين".
وفي التفاصيل تحدث التقرير عن اختطاف الإعلامي في الحزب الديمقراطي الكوردستاني – سوريا وعضو رابطة الصحفيين السوريين "برزان حسين لياني" من قبل مسلحي PYD في بلدة كركي لكي في 15 آب 2023، إذ لا يزال مصيره مجهولا حتى الآن.
مضيفا أن فريق المركز السوري للحريات الصحفية في الرابطة، وثق اعتقال "فرع جرائم المعلومات" التابع للنظام السوري، الصحفي مضر إبراهيم، في مدينة دمشق، على خلفية منشور كتبه على صفحته الشخصية في “فيس بوك”، إلى أن أفرجت عنه في اليوم التالي، دون توضيح أية تفاصيل حول احتجازه.
ودعت رابطة الصحفيين السوريين الأمم المتحدة والمجتمع الدولي لبذل قصارى جهده لمنع العنف ضد الصحفيين والعاملين في وسائل الإعلام في سوريا، وكفالة المساءلة، وتقديم مرتكبي الجرائم إلى العدالة، وضمان حصول الضحايا على سبل الانتصاف المناسبة. لافتة إلى "العمل على تهيئة بيئة آمنة وتمكين الصحفيين لأداء عملهم بصورة مستقلة ودون تدخل أساس لحماية حرية التعبير في البلاد".

انطلقت اليوم السبت 9/9/2023 أعمال القمة الـ18 لمجموعة العشرين "G-20", في العاصمة الهندية نيودلهي تحت شعار "أرض واحدة، عائلة واحدة، مستقبل واحد".
غاب الرئيس الصيني شي جين بينغ ونظيره الروسي فلاديمير بوتين عن القمة، ما يشير إلى عمق الخلافات الصينية الهندية.
إضافة إلى تصريحات الرئيس الأميركي حول إعداد خطة لمواجهة "العداون الروسي والصيني" الاقتصادي والعسكري.
مجموعة العشرين، من حيث جوهرها، عبارة عن منتدى حكومي دولي يهتم في المقام الأول بالقضايا الاقتصادية، وتتألف من أكبر 20 اقتصادا في العالم، تمثل 19 دولة إضافة إلى الاتحاد الأوروبي.
