ARK News: A Syrian Kurdish leader confirmed that the course of events indicates that the town of Tall Rifaat which is under the control of the DSF (QSD) militants, Russian troops and regime militants will be evacuated in favor of Turkey and its allied factions in exchange for Turkish concessions on part of its influence in Idlib.

Ali Muslim, leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria said: “It is clear that the case of Tel Rifaat (located in the northern suburb of Aleppo) is now surfacing again, especially after the recent meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian Vladimir Putin in Moscow earlier this month which is the third of its kind this year.”

Adding that "it is believed that there are limited understandings between them on this city, which is still subject to the leadership of the Syrian Democratic Forces which took control in February 2016, and some analysts say that these limited understandings have not yet reached the level of the Convention ».

The Kurdish leader explained that the course of events indicates that this city will be abandoned in favor of Turkey and its allied factions in return for Turkish concessions on part of its influence in Idlib which may be restricted to joint Turkish-Russian operations against sites belonging to the Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham, which is classified as a terrorist (al-Nusra Front), and this may be in the form of an inter-agency deal.

Muslim confirmed that “Turkey is seeking to acquire Tall Rifaat city for logistical reasons, including the most important opening of the commercial route between Aleppo and Ghazi Aintab, which passes from this city.
