Syrian Women’s Political Movement congratulates the Kurds of Nawroz Holiday

A statement from the Syrian Women’s Political Movement
On the occasion of Nawroz Day

ARK News: Today, the Syrian people share the celebration of Nawroz holiday which marks the beginning of spring and renews life. On this occasion, we in the Syrian Women’s Political Movement congratulate the celebrants of this holiday, especially the Kurds in Syria, and wish them renewed hope for freedom and salvation from the injustice of the regime and the forces of the fait accompli, which officially prevented their celebrations in their areas of control.


While condemning these repressive practices, we also affirm on this occasion our commitment to our aspiring political vision of a democratic, pluralistic Syria founded on the basis of equal citizenship without discrimination.

We recognize the importance of the Kurdish issue in Syria, and we believe that there is no comprehensive solution in Syria without reaching a formula that guarantees the rights of all.

Mercy to the martyrs and freedom to the detainees and the disappeared and victory for our great people.
