ARK News: On the 18th of March marks the first anniversary of the invasion and control of the Turkish forces on the city of Afrin, the Kurdish city of olive, and peace.

Despite what our people suffered in Afrin in the previous stages, their children, homes and fields are increasingly being subjected to reprisals and systematic crimes committed by gangs of mercenaries from several armed groups that entered the region with different names that are only combined with the approach of hatred towards the Kurds, and the logic of looting and looting and murder away from all human values and customs.

Despite the widespread condemnation of these crimes and documented by many humanitarian and human rights organizations, the suffering of Afrin residents continues to worsen day after day and increase the violations and atrocities against them from kidnapping, extortion and murder of those who dare to stand in the face of the perpetrators and the burning of olive fields and bulldozing to target archaeological sites and what is related to the Kurdish culture and history in order to obliterate the Kurdish identity, and to prevent the Kurdish population who were displaced during the invasion to return to their homes, and to bring tens of thousands of people from different areas of armed conflict in the country and resettlement in the cities and towns of Afrin and in the homes of their people, and registration on the restrictions of the region in order to change the demographic that is taking place continuously.

The Kurdish National Council, condemning these crimes committed in the shadow of international silence and condoning the Turkish forces, calls on the international community, Turkey, humanitarian organizations and human rights organizations and bodies of the United Nations to stop these systematic violations, and taking out these armed groups from Afrin and its region and handing over its administration to its indigenous people under international auspices, and the necessity of speeding up the political process to find a comprehensive solution to the Syrian crisis that ensures the evacuation of all foreign forces and the building of a democratic, pluralistic, democratic Syria whose constitution recognizes the basic and national rights of the Kurdish people and all other national components And the necessity of speeding up the political process to find a comprehensive solution to the Syrian crisis that ensures the evacuation of all foreign forces and the building of a democratic, pluralistic, democratic Syria whose constitution recognizes the basic and national rights of the Kurdish people and all other national components which returns Afrin free and secure and stable for its children.
