The ENKS commemorates the 31st anniversary of the massacre of the martyr Halabja
ARK News: Within a part of a series of activities which called for by the Kurdish National Council in Syria of reviving events in March, a Local Council of eastern Qamishlo of the Kurdish National Council in Syria commemorated the 31st anniversary of the massacre of Halabja on Saturday 16 March 2019 at 11:00 am.
Where the members of the Local Council and a mass rally of our Kurdish people in the city of Qamishlo in the form of scattered gatherings in the streets and in front of houses and shops, and they stood five minutes of tribute and commemoration of the lives of martyrs of the massacre of Halabja and martyrs of the Kurds and Kurdistan.
The dictator Saddam Hussein committed on March 16, 1988, against the city of Halabja and its Kurdish sons in the Kurdistan region the worst crime against humanity when he ordered the bombing with chemical weapons internationally banned, and as a result of the bombing, more than 5,000 martyrs, mostly women, elderly, children and thousands of wounded, were injured by various diseases from the effects of the chemical strike to this day.
