President Barzani participates with the Kurdish masses a minute of silence in memory of the massacre of Halabja
ARK News: President Masoud Barzani participated, on Saturday 16/3/2019, with the Kurdish masses in the minute of silence, to mourn the anniversary of the bombing of Halabja with chemical weapons, by the former Iraqi regime.
"I took part in a moment of silence in honor of the Halabja martyrs who were brutally attacked by the regime of Saddam Hussein on March 16, 1988," Barzani said in a tweet on Twitter.
The Kurdistan Regional Government called on Saturday, in a statement issued on the 31st anniversary of the bombing of Halabja with chemical weapons, and the Iraqi government has to carry out its legal and moral duty towards this province and its population.
