The Kurdish National Council calls for the revival of Halabja massacre

ARK News: The Kurdish people and in every year and with them all the democratic and peace-loving forces remember the crime which was carried out by the former Baath Iraqi regime against the city of Halabja and the surrounding villages in Kurdistan Iraq on March 16, 1988, where its planes rained chemical bombs on this city and the surrounding area, which killed five thousand martyrs and similarly wounded and people who had of permanent disabilities. This heinous crime has been categorized as the atrocity of the nuclear bomb that has been laid on Nagasaki and Hiroshima and its perpetrators have remained unpunished so far.


The Kurdish National Council, which condemns this crime, expresses its solidarity and sympathy with the sons of Halabja the martyr, calls upon the international community to punish criminals and individuals and the compensation for the destruction and damaging that hit the city and the treatment of disabled people by chemical weapons and the adoption of this anniversary as a global day to prevent the spread and use of chemical weapons and also calls at the same time the Kurdish people everywhere and all our brothers who are common partners in our lives, pains and hopes to stand five minutes silent in respecting and mourning for the lives of the martyrs of the massacre and that at eleven o'clock on the afternoon of Saturday March 16 2019 In front of houses, shops and streets in cities and countryside.

All solidarity with the victims of the crime of chemical bombardment of the sons of Halabja city the martyr and the surrounding villages. And the shame and disgrace of fascism and chauvinism that commit crimes against humanity and the right of peoples.
