Afrin ... Facts about the attack on the village of Avraze and the arrest of the leader, Hashim Sheikh Nasan

Hashim Sheikh Nasan was wanted by the Syrian security, because of his political, partisan and revolutionary activities in the region, where he was a member of the Area committee of the Party and among the activists involved in the peaceful movement against Syrian regime in Afrin after the outbreak of Syrian revolution. In the 12th of 2012, Hashim realized that he was among those who wanted by Syrian regime, namely the Political Security Department in the city of Afrin, under the leadership of Maj. Akram Suleiman, so he had to leave the city and hide in his village, Avraze at his grandfather’s house, Sheikh Golin.
During the process of receiving and handing over the city of Afrin between regime and the PYD, the latter received the wanted files and took control of the houses of the supporters of the Syria’s revolution and who opposed the policy of PYD. Hashim’s file was among the dozens of the files that worked on it by them. The first direct threat to Hashim was in front of his house in the villa neighborhood, west main Road of the Cultural Center on 2/2/2012, before the big demonstration of Kurdish National Council in Afrin for one day, threatened the rebels of the leadership of the Party to liquidate or the abduction of his only son if he did not give up his political and revolutionary, since That day he went to his village as he said earlier and left his job in his pharmacy.
After some days, the gunmen of PYD learned that Hashim was hiding in his village of Avraze. They equipped hundreds of armed men to attack the village to arrest Dr. Hashim. On 29/6/2012, PYD attacked by the comrade Kamal, the military official of Afrin, comrade Adnan, comrade Chakdar, the official of the attack team, a responsible leader in the Women's Units and hundreds of gunmen in the village of Avraze. Hashim’s family refused to hand him over to the PYD militants because he was wanted before that by Syrian regime, not from the new de facto authorities.
The talks between the two sides lasted three hours, after Siban Hamo, the general manager of Popular Protection Units in Syria, contacted the leader in Party, Mr. Khalil Izzat, who in turn contacted the comrade, Hasan Kurzili, the general political official in Afrin, with those in the village, Undertaking pledges that Hashim would not be harmed. In the end the family handed over Dr. Hashim to PYD militants.
On July 2, 2012, PYD released Hashim, he returned to detention the day of Sheikh Hanan’s massacre on July 4, 2012 with 26 members of the family of (Sheikh Nasan - Sheikh Hasan - Sheikh Ahmed - some relatives of the families mentioned). The family was subjected to the worst forms of torture, as a result of severe beatings, Nouraddin Hanif Hanan lost his life on 5/7/2017.
On 10/7/2102 Dr. Hashim was released with some of the detainees, according to the agreement of the Supreme Commission that gathered Kurdish Parties in Kurdistan Region, under the leadership of President Masoud Barzani, which entered into the official signature on 11/7/2012, among the terms of the agreement was releasing political prisoners and after a period of release of the second, third and fourth batch of detainees has completed on the back of the massacre of Sheikh Hanan’s massacre into the prison near the village of Sheikh Bella near the town of Rajo, where it was the first time to open the prison –in olive plant earlier - by the detainees of the families of those mentioned before (Sheikh Nasan - Sheikh Hasan - Sheikh Ahmed), then it became a famous prison named the black prison.
The village of Avraze is one of the villages that have been subjected to harassment as the villages such as Sinka, Kousa, Burjabdalo, Chekilma and others, because of their opposition to the unilateral policies and of non-Kurdish practices , such as attacking civilian’s homes, policies of killing, arrest, kidnapping, suppression of demonstrations and peaceful movement. (Avraze) was a victim of the practices of PYD the result was three martyrs from Sheikh Hanan, Sheikh Hassan family and his son and the arrest of 27 family members, including an elderly man in the nineties of his age and the destruction and burning of family property such as destruction and burning the houses of Sheikh Hanan and his son Abdurrahman and his neighbor, and the burning of the contents of Hashim’s Pharmacy and the burning of a car belonging to Sheikh Abdul Aziz from Semalka village , member of the sub-committee of the Party and an agricultural tractor was driven by Yahiya Sheikh Nasan in front of the house of Sheikh Hanif in Afrin also burnt by them.
The massacre of Sheikh Hanan and the attack of the village of Avraze consider the first crimes committed against the Kurds in Kurdistan of Syria in 2012 and then began the series of violations in villages and other areas such as the massacre of Burjabdalo and Chekilma and killing of Hanan Hamdoush under torture and the massacre of Amouda and the victim, Walat Hisi in Kobani and Jiwan Qatna and others, so far they did not utter even by recognizing or apologizing to the victims of the martyrs.
