ARK News: On the occasion of the Kurdish’s Martyr Day, and the memory of the passage of fifteen years of the glorious March uprising, the Kurdish National Council called on the Kurdish masses to stand for five minutes in mourning and fulfilling of the blood of the martyrs of the uprising, and putting wreaths of roses on the shrines of martyrs, and while the march was heading towards the cemetery of Hilaliya in Qamishlo, it was intercepted by a group of armed men of the PYD and tried to prevent the masses from going to the graves of the martyrs and used violence against demonstrators, and Ms. Wafaa Kurdi was severely beaten by a holding stick of Kurdistan flag and she was seriously injured in her head, then she was taken to the hospital,

And also in the eastern neighborhood of Qamishlo, during the return of the masses from the cemetery of the martyrs of Qador Bag they were harassed, especially for those who hold the Kurdish flag, by these groups, but they could not do with their deed preventing the masses to complete their march carrying the Kurdish flag high who were carrying the Kurdish flag high and the wreaths of roses to the shrines of martyrs, and it is worth mentioning that the same party banned women celebrate International Women's Day in Qamishlo.

We in the Kurdish National Council strongly condemn these intimidation practices by these militants, and such acts will not dissuade the Kurdish National Council from moving forward with its national project which expresses the will and aspirations of our people. The Kurdish flag will remain a national symbol for our people no matter how they try to undermine it.
