Kawergosik Organization of PDK-S celebrates International Women's Day

ARK News: On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Kawergosik Organization of the Kurdistan Democratic Party –Syria held a celebration in coordination with Dr. Noraddin Zaza for Culture and Education of the Barzani Charity Foundation on Friday evening, March 8, 2019, in the courtyard of the primary school, with the participation of the Kurdish Narin Band for Art and Folklore , and with the presence of a large group of residents of the camp.

The celebration began with a minute of silence for the martyrs of the Kurds and Kurdistan, led by Barzani the immortal on and the tune of the Kurdish national anthem "Ayi Raqib".

A member of the Party's Area Committee, Najah Mohammed, gave a speech on behalf of the Kawergosik Organization of PDK-S, in which she spoke about the struggle of women and their role in history. She explained the role of Kurdish women in society and enjoys their political and social rights and freedom of work.

During the concert, the "Narin" band and "Dr. Noraddin Zaza Center have presented many shows, including folk dances, songs and theaters.


A cultural contest was also presented and included a variety of questions amidst the welcome and interaction by the side of the audience.

At the end of the contest, the gifts were distributed by the Center Dr. Noraddin Zaza for Culture and Education of Barzani Charity Foundation.

Najah Mohammed concluded with a word of thanks and gratitude to the large crowds who attended the celebration.
