Erdogan: We will not accept a safe area beyond our control in Syria

ARK News: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that US President Donald Trump has shown a firm stance during this phase regarding the security zone in Syria.

This came during an interview on TV 24 and TV 360 on Wednesday.

Erdogan stressed that Ankara does not agree to grant control of the safe area for any entity that is not Turkey, "because it can at any moment to attack us from it."

On the American withdrawal from Syria, he explained that "they can take their weapons with them if they wish, or sell them to us, but they should not give them to the PYD."
